Hello and thanks for stopping by!

My name's Robert and I am passionate about all things journalism. I'm currently an undergraduate at the University of Colorado Boulder pursuing a bachelor's degree in Journalism and a minor in Technology, Art and Media.

I've had three years of news reporting experience and over two years of editing experience.

At CU Boulder, I served as the 2019-2020 editor-in-chief for the award-winning student-run news website, the CU Independent. Before becoming EIC and managing a staff of about 50 students, I served as senior news editor, breaking news editor and a news reporter.

I've interned for Boulder's local daily newspaper, the Daily Camera, and freelanced for both the Camera and ThinkProgress.

Over my years of experience, I've written a range of stories from breaking news, investigations and features on several topics including the environment, politics, education and business. I'm the recipient of regional journalism awards and state-wide journalism scholarships.

While my main format is print, I am versed in photography and videography, as well as editing software, and have mainly produced photos and videos during breaking news events.

Have a look at some of my work and feel free to reach out through my contact page or by clicking the "@" icon below my picture. I'd love to chat!
